Membership

By registering as a member and using this website:

You represent and warrant that you are 18 years old or older, that you are a freelance technician in the events industry, an authorised representative of a production company, an event organiser, an authorised representative of a venue or an authorised representative of an equipment or service supplier, as appropriate to the type of membership for which you have registered, and that you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

You agree to:-

• provide accurate, and up to date information as required by the registration forms on the website;
• update and maintain the accuracy of such information;
• report any misuse of the website or any misleading or inappropriate material on the website or the profiles of other members
• maintain the security of your password;
• be fully responsible for all use of your account and for any actions that take place using your account;
• only post genuine ratings of and comments on other users’ profiles and other content based on your personal experience;
• only post material and advertising relevant to the users of the website and
• clearly indicate in any advertising or posting whether any price quoted is inclusive or exclusive of tax and/or carriage/delivery.

Subscription

All paid-for memberships are for an initial period of 12 months. Within the last 30 days of your membership you will be able to use a feature on the profile settings page to allow you to renew your membership for a further 12 months. Payment will be taken via PayPal. You will also receive an email during the last 30 days of your membership to alert you to the fact that your membership is due to expire and to remind you to renew it.

If you are a freelance technician, your membership is ongoing, with no fixed expiry date. Subject to our right to suspend or hide profiles, your membership will continue until you choose to terminate it.

Termination

You may terminate your membership in writing at any time either by writing to Tekk Space Limited, 2 Severn Street, Chopwell, Newcastle, NE17 7BY, UK or by e-mailing info@tekkspace.com. If you terminate your membership, you will continue to enjoy access to the website until the end of your pre-paid membership period. No refunds will be made in such a case. If you are a freelance technician, termination of your membership will be effective immediately on our receipt of your notice of termination.

The contents of this site are protected by copyright under international law. The name “Tekk Space” and the logo “” are trade marks.

You are permitted to read the contents of this site and to make copies for your information only. However, you may also give copies to colleagues for their information on terms that Tekk Space is acknowledged as the source, the text is not altered in any way and the attention of the recipients is drawn to this copyright warning. The website may contain photographs, profiles, messages, music, video, advertisements, listings and other material uploaded, displayed or published by third parties (“Content”) and links to websites operated by third parties. Third party websites and Content are not investigated or monitored by us and we are not responsible for any such sites or Content.

Friends

You may designate other users of the website as your friends. A link to the profile of your friends will be added to your profile. In order to prevent bulk mailing, or ‘spam’, internal messages on the website can only be sent to other users who you have added as a friend. You are limited to having 30 other users as your friends at any one time. A link to the profile of your ‘friends’ will be added to your profile.

Security

Access to your user account with us and the material available on our website will be gained by using the username and the password allocated to you during the registration procedure. You are responsible for ensuring the confidentiality and proper use of your username, password and account and for restricting access to your computer and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. In order to assist us with our security policy, you should not leave your computer terminal unattended while you are logged on to this website and should ensure that it is switched off each time you have finished. Particular care should be taken when using shared computers in public places.

You must tell us immediately if you believe that an unauthorised person knows your username or password or has access to your account.

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate your account if we suspect an unauthorised person is attempting to access it.

Contracts between users in respect of goods or services advertised on the website are not to be completed via the website and are in no way connected to us. It is the responsibility of the user to check the terms and conditions of any contract that they enter into.

Except where otherwise provided in these terms and conditions, we shall not be liable for any losses you suffer as a result of unauthorised access to your account in any case until such time as you have informed us of any unauthorised or possible unauthorised use of your username and password or of a breach of security.

If you are accessing our website to use the services available through it otherwise than in the course of your business, you have certain statutory rights as a consumer regarding the performance of services. These statutory rights are not and will not be affected by any statement contained in these terms and conditions. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our liability in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence or in respect of fraud.

You warrant to us that you will not use this website or any other services accessible through your user account with us for any unlawful purposes or in a way that is prohibited by these terms and conditions or terms and conditions contained elsewhere on our website. We may immediately terminate your account and your ability to access this website if you breach any such terms and conditions or if we believe that we or our other customers may incur liability from your actions.

User Content

You are solely responsible for any content which you upload, publish or display on this website. You warrant that you will not upload, publish or display any content that you did not create or that you do not have permission to upload publish or display.

If your profile is removed, by us or on termination of your membership, all data stored, including all messages previously sent or received, will be immediately and irreversibly deleted. In addition, if another user’s profile is removed, or if their membership is terminated, all messages sent between you and the user will also be removed from the system. You should therefore save any important information on your own systems.

If we deem, in our sole discretion, that your profile is inappropriate, or does not comply with these terms and conditions, you will be advised of this decision, with reasons, and given a period of time to revise your profile. During this period, your profile may be hidden so that you can still log in and update details but your profile will not be available for other users to view, unless they have a direct link to it through the friends mechanism.

By publishing, uploading or displaying content on the website you grant to us, and represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty free licence to use, copy, publish, display, reformat, translate and distribute such content for any purpose in connection with the website, the associated services and the promotion of the website and the services. You may remove content you have uploaded, published or displayed at any time, whereupon the licence granted above will expire, provided that we shall be permitted to retain archived copies of all such content.

Indemnity

When you register for a user account with us you will be required to adhere to the security provisions set out in our terms and conditions.

By registering a profile you consent to the wider dissemination of the information you provide in that profile to the other users of the site to achieve your joint objectives.

We would like to contact you in the future for marketing purposes but we need your consent to do this. If you would like us to contact you (including by post, e-mail or telephone) concerning our services and career opportunities that may be of interest to you then please check the appropriate box on the new account registration form. Freelance technicians : by adding your mobile telephone number to your profile, you agree to be contacted by other members via SMS.

Should you wish to obtain a copy of the personal data that we hold on you, please send an e-mail to the following address:- info@tekkspace.com. As soon as we are satisfied as to your identity, we will send to you, within 40 days, a copy of all the data that we hold concerning you.

If you have a complaint regarding any breach of this privacy policy, contact us at info@tekkspace.com.  When we receive the complaint, we will review it carefully and contact you with the outcome of the review.

When visiting our web pages, we generally use tracking technologies which record information about you automatically. This information does not identify you personally. We automatically collect and store only the following information about your visit:-
